Es ist eine Art Hymne an eine schöne Frau, die er am Ufer des Flusses Fife im SE Schottlands gesehen hat..er ist hin und weg und sagt sich los vom Leben als Jungeselle in die Arme dieser Frau, die ihn verzaubert hat…

One evening fair I took the air

In autumns‘ wisdoms stored

As she skipped and she danced all along the sand
